* Role: Business Objects Developer*
Duration: 6 Month contract
Location: Waltham MA
Must have strong Java and business objects.
F2F after phone. Please send your best rate.
- Design and develop Business Objects based reporting/dashboard solutions
by applying information and data presentation architectures using Business
Objects and other related tools.
- Design, implement, maintain BI content across the stack including data
mart, dimensional & relational models, aggregations, business rules,
semantic layers and reports.
- Strong Java/J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, and peripheral APIs such as JPA,
JAAS
- Good knowledge of Javascript, HTML, CSS and related Web technologies
- Solid knowledge of database, application and servlet container
technology; experience with JBoss, Tomcat, MySQL and/or Oracle is preferred.
- Strong hands-on experience with the following or equivalent
technologies: Business Objects Enterprise XI 3.x, Web Intelligence and
Universe, and associated SDKs.
- Planning and estimation - Should have knowledge of strong project
planning concepts to support development of project plan, scoping of
deliverables, and creation of timelines
- Prepare and review requirements, functional, system and technical
design documentation.
- Experience in integrating Business Objects reports with enterprise
portal applications (JSR-286 compliant). In particular, experience with
Liferay is preferred.
- Integrate reporting with enterprise and application specific security,
identity management and role-based privileges.
- Provide technical support to internal users of business intelligence
(BI) and analytical reporting products.
- Provide direction to other developers on daily tasks and deliverables
- Actively contribute to the implementation of industry best practices.
*Plus Skills (Not immediately necessary, but preferred):*
- Solid understanding of EDA and SOA concepts.
- Strong knowledge of XML.
- Solid SQL / PLSQL expertise, stored procedure, functions, triggers and
database tuning.
