Minimum 2GHz, 3GB RAM, loaded with Windows XP, Visio Viewer and Microsoft Office Suite (2007 or later).</b> Description: This position is for a senior Informix Database Administrator (DBA) in a centralized database administration team which provides 7x24 support for Dev, Test and Production environments. The DBA is mainly responsible for maintaining highly visible production databases. Responsibilities include designing, installing, upgrading, patching, tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, capacity planning and security administration. Required Skills: • Candidates must be well versed in Informix IDS10 and IDS11 Database Administration on UNIX or Linux platforms. Required: • Informix DBMS version 10 and 11, Informix HDR and RSS. • Ability to work well within a technical support team with both developers and end users is key. • Candidates must also have excellent communication skills. • Any experience in other databases would be advantageous particularly Red Brick. Oracle, DB2 LUW experience would also be beneficial. • Top candidates will also have experience in UNIX shell scripting languages SH, CSH and/or KSH. • Perl experience is a definite plus.
