*Job Title: Windows Server Administration* *Duration: 4 – 6 Months Location: Milwaukee, WI* REPLY TO : [email protected]* * *Description:* This position works as part of a business consulting team to analyze, define, build, and support the automation of server configuration and deployments in the client’s environment. The Windows Server Administration, Virtualization, and Stabilization Specialist understands and resolves business and technical issues. Interacts with infrastructure team, generates client deliverables, and works with a focused project team to design and deliver high-quality results to the client. * * *Skills & Responsibilities:* - Minimum of 5-7 yrs. in IT Infrastructure – at least 3 years in Windows Server Administration with Virtualization - Experience with VMWare for virtualization of Windows Server environment - Experience with scripting and automation tools for server configuration and deployment - Develops best practice standards for Windows Server environment, including directory structures, logging, monitoring, and configuration management - Develops best practice deployment patterns for Windows servers - Proactively looks at adapting current architecture to meet future needs. - Work with client SMEs to design/develop “gold configuration”, then automate and deploy to multiple servers using scripting and automation tools - Identifies configuration components that can be shared across business applications - Identifies the impact of proposed changes at a system level and on interfacing systems. - Helps define and approve standards related to core infrastructure areas. - Assists team in defining infrastructure solutions and defining large-scale infrastructure decisions. - Conducts thorough system test of new or upgraded infrastructure components. - Works with application development teams to validate new or updated architecture components. - Assists the project manager with the development of the project plan and assists in assignment of resources to project tasks and activities. - Recommends plan changes necessary to keep the project on schedule. - Conducts walkthroughs with the developers for standards compliance, performance considerations and correct use of infrastructure components. - Communicates clearly the impact on other systems of proposed new infrastructure components or modifications. - Works with project team to gather requirements, answer questions and resolve issues. - Communicates infrastructure needs and directions with management. *Preferred Qualifications:* - Strong in-depth understanding of Windows Server platform* * - Strong in-depth understanding of VMWare/Virtualization in a Windows Server environment - Experience VB scripting, SCCM, OSD, and Remoteware. - Experience in Active Directory, with familiarity in Windows 2008 Active Directory. - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Strong level of attention to detail, both in technical tasks and with project deliverables/documents - Displays willingness to accept responsibility displays initiative, good judgment, and a positive attitude. - Demonstrated ability to act decisively and promptly. - Experience automating configuration and deployment scripts in an infrastructure environment REPLY TO : [email protected] Thanks & Regards, *Vipin D Kaushal* |*Dynamic Software Services, Inc.* 766 Sutter Street -12.San Francisco, CA- 94109 *Office:* 415-599-7815|| *Fax:* 415-520-5437 *Email:* [email protected] <[email protected]%20> ||*www.dyssinc.com* *Yahoo IM:* click2vipin || *G-Talk:* click2vipin -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP BASIS" group.
