Job Title: Oracle DBA Location: Houston, TX Duration: 12 Months Availibility: IMM Skills: Primary Skills The DBA team is responsible for the 24x7 availability of mission critical databases in production environment and User Acceptance, Development and Test environments for fast-paced delivery. There is a high expectation in availability, performance and scalability to support the growth of various applications within the company. The DBA team is responsible for the build, ongoing maintenance, failure avoidance, detection and repair of the Oracle databases associated with these applications. Required Qualifications: •A Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. •5+ years of production and development database administration experience in Oracle 10g/11g •Strong experience as a Sr. level database administrator in both SQL Server and Oracle •Experience with technology features in Oracle such as Partitioning, File Groups, Materialized Views, and Options available in executing database statistics •Strong experience with installing and configuring new SQL Server and Oracle releases, management of database tables - sizing, expansion, and protection •Strong SQL Server and Oracle database performance analysis and tuning skills •Strong T-SQL and PL/SQL skills •Significant experience in High Availability (HA) solutions such as log shipping, Replication, Database Mirroring, Clustering •Solid understanding of the Windows and Linux server operating system •Solid knowledge of related infrastructure, tools and services in support of Oracle databases such as EMC Storage SAN, backup technologies, and business continuity •Working knowledge of Extract, Transform and Load for Operational Data Stores and Data Warehouses •Ability to manage and prioritize multiple, concurrent projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment •Experience in large 24X7 production IT operations; thus must be willing to participate in a defined on-call rotation •Other duties and requirements as assigned Thanks & Regards, Arvind Technical Recruiter CAT Technology Inc.377, Route 17 South, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ "Committed to Human Excellence Through IT " Voice: 201 257 5081 x 179 Fax: 201 727 9296 Email: [email protected] -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP BASIS" group.
