Java Web Application 6+ Month Houton TX $38/hrs C2C all inc Job Description: Our Houston-based global manufacturing client is looking to fill the position of a contract Java Programmer/Analyst with 2-5 years experience. Role Responsibilities: 1. Develop and maintain Web applications as defined by Project Lead. • Analyzing, designing, implementing, and supporting all company Internet/Intranet Web applications • Assist users in definition of Business problems. • Propose, design and implement technical solutions. • Estimate schedules for projects undertaken and complete them on time, adhering to predetermined specifications and quality standards. • Can demonstrate working experience and understanding of full software application development/ lifecycle 2. Support and Train internal/external users on existing applications. • Troubleshoot programs according to the system requirements and specifications. • Must be willing to be on call • Ability to communicate with end users in a supportive role 3. Produce technical documentation • Good writing skills • Produce documentation such as Technical Design Document, work instructions, work as an integral member of a high performance team making important individual contributions. Qualifications: • 2-5 years of web application development experiences in JAVA (most important). ***Nice to have also would be additional experiences in ASP.NET, C++ or PHP • Preferred experience working with databases, DB2, SQL server and mySQL. • Experiences with internet technologies such as HTML, PHP, QT, XML, JSP and Javascript. • Experiences in writing SQL queries, store procedures. • Experiences in working with APIs from open source software or third party software solutions. • Experiences with Web Application Servers.
