Position: Sr. Web Developer Position description: Based in the Parsippany, NJ, Long Term Contract we are seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and experienced developer to join the firm's web development team. The ideal candidate will have a solid web development track record with strong communication skills. We are seeking an individual who demonstrates initiative, can work both independently and collaboratively with the team and keep abreast of the latest developments in Internet technologies Key Responsibilitieis include: . Maintenance of existing and implementation of new web applications o Participation in all aspects of the system development life cycle with specific focus on the design, construction, unit and integration testing of both service- and web-tier components o Development of high-quality implementations following established development processes . Assist with the optimization, enhancement and extension of existing Vignette V7 based web properties; o Assist with the development of new V7 VCM workflows, extensions, and/or VAP layouts (or similar activities) for use within new or existing web properties o Write internal documentation describing newly developed code or processes Skills Required: the successful applicant must also have proven capability in the following : . Demonstrated knowledge and experience working with Vignette V7 VCM, and Vignette V7 Portal, . Proficient with SQL (Oracle), . Proficient with Unix (Sun Solaris) . Proficient with XHTML, CSS, JavaScript/AJAX; ExtJS experience is a plus. . Experience with J2EE/JSP using IBM WebSphere Application Server; . Strong problem determination and trouble shooting skills . Demonstrated knowledge of Object-Oriented design including familiarity with various design patterns and UML . Experience working with website content technologies including search, analytics, content management systems. . Demonstrated ability to learn and apply new technologies as the need arise. . Experience in working in a team-based agile development environment. . Excellent interpersonal and written & oral communication skills . Strong analytical and problem solving / trouble-shooting skills. . Demonstrated ability to deliver, within budget, quality solutions while coordinating multiple assignments / deadlines . Previous experience with a financial services organization a plus Optional Skills: . Familiarity with .NET, . Experience working with IBM MQ, . Experience working with Siteminder, . Experience working with SunOne LDAP . Experience working with Vignette Dialog Required Experience: . 4+ years experience building and supporting Java / J2EE based production applications. . 3+ years experience in developing externally facing web applications using HTML. AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, DHTML and relevant open-source libraries .
