May be in future we can get in touch. * **Position : Deployment Specialist / Unix Admin - Tier 2/Tier 1+ * *Location : Wall street, Newyork, NY* ** *Duration : 6 Months * *Prefer local candidate to start ASAP* * * *Should be able to start within a day or two after selection**. * *Mandatory: Basic UNIX Commands (AIX/Sun Solaris), SQL queries understanding, Excellent Communication Skills * ** *Good to have: UNIX Shell Scripting, Tomcat, Trading application knowledge * · Deployment engineer for development, testing and production environments at Web / Application / Integration layers · Work on deployment tickets related to environment-level work requests / issues binding to the service level agreement, providing update to requestor(s) on regular basis and handling escalations related to the tickets owned by team · Analyzing issues during deployments and providing workaround / permanent solution and RCA · Initiate/Draft & Implement the environment change requests, follow-up with concerned parties for approvals · Coordinate for the implementation of UNIX/Network/Database change activities from application’s perspective · Understanding for release/project requirements, attending status calls; project/release specific tickets execution. · Plan small/medium infrastructure projects (such as server/instance migrations) and rollouts the projects with minimum/agreed service disruption and provides post-rollout support · Responsible for creating/modifying/maintaining monitoring scripts for standardization / as per Level-2/3 teams’ requirements · Develop scripts/tools to simplify work and to contribute for continuous performance improvement *Qualifications * · Must have 3-5 years of relevant experience in application infrastructure/deployment support · Good troubleshooting knowledge and knowledge on analysis/debugging tools/options · Knowledge on ITIL framework: specifically service support, incident and problem management. · Knowledge on any monitoring tools · Knowledge in DMZ / Firewalls and general networking concepts · Good verbal and written communication skills · Ability to work within tight deadlines and business pressures is a must · Must be flexible / willing to work weekend or evenings if necessary · Ability to take up challenging tasks and accomplish in committed timelines · Ability to change the work environment to bring-in improvements in operational efficiency and service levels *Specific technical skills: * *Mandatory:* Basic UNIX Commands (AIX/Sun Solaris), SQL queries understanding, Excellent Communication Skills *Good to have:* UNIX Shell Scripting, Tomcat, Trading application knowledge * Thanks & Regards, Bhageerath| Sr. Resourcing Specialist SYSTEL INC.
