J2EE Applications Architect. Acts as a subject matter expert, designer and developer for multiple systems and applications, utilizing current technology and tools. Identifies opportunities to reuse existing architectural components and where appropriate, identify, design and create new architectural components, which can be leveraged by other systems and applications. Has full understanding of firm wide architectural strategy and can effectively implement these strategies with full consideration of downstream and upstream impact. Provides consultation to business and IT management and staffs at various technical levels on all phases of the project development cycle. Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost effective solution for the systems design. Plans and organizes technical related projects in the section. Works with client management and business analysts to analyze and specify complex business requirements and processes for diverse development platforms, computing environments, software, hardware technologies and tools. Provides leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies, which assist functional business units in meeting their strategic objectives. Familiarity with brokerage business a plus. *Qualifications*** Proven experience in designing and implementing complex web-facing applications in a business context. Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related discipline. Advanced degree (such as MS CS) a plus. Minimum of six years of solid and diverse systems analysis and design experience, preferably in the securities industry/financial services. Well versed in robust and resilient system engineering including security, transactional integrity, performance tuning, function placement and heterogeneous system integration including third-part vendor products and SaaS. Strong judgment, decision-making skills and creative analytical skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Able to see solutions and explain them clearly both verbally and in writing. Broad knowledge of system development life cycle. Ability to work effectively with clients and IT management and staffs. Proficient with Microsoft Office. Technology platform is J2EE Web and Web 2.0. The position will be responsible for architecting, designing, and on hands development of J2EE solution including front end and service layer. In order of importance the technical qualifications are: • 6+ years of cumulative experience in software design, and product/component development in J2EE web based solutions • J2EE experience that includes MVC web frameworks (SpringMVC), JSF, Struts, AJAX, Servlet, JSP, application servers, JMS Brokers, EJBs • Fluent in core UML models including use cases, sequence diagrams, object models and data flow diagrams • Oracle RDMBS experience; good knowledge of SQL and data modeling • Web Services; WS-I Basic Profile, SOAP, WS-security, WSDL, Axis, and JAXB. • Web 2.0: AJAX, JavaScript, JavaScript libraries (Dojo, JQuery, etc.) and JSF • UNIX and scripting skills a plus • Familiarity with deploying an developing with a LAMP stack a plus -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "SAP BASIS" group.
