Title : Cognos Developer. Location: Chicago IL. Duration : 4+ months contract. Bill Rate : $45/hr Corp to Corp. No H1B Need EAD,GC Holder or U S Citizen. Local candidates are our #1 preference, however we can work with out of state candidates as long as they would be willing to come for an in person interview after a 1st round phone interview with the client. Candidate will be Responsible for the development work needed to migrate Cognos 8.3 Reports to 10.x. This will include standard reports, Dashboards and SDK generate reports. Effort will include working with team members in the migration of the reports including documentation. Candidate will develop reports based on current standards and best practice. Candidate will be responsible documenting reports as part of the effort. Successful candidate will be taking ownership while working with team lead of Cognos reports. Required Skills Required - Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology with at least 7-8 years of related work experience. Proficient in Cognos 10.x and 8.3 Dashboard Reporting, Standard Reporting, Report Optimization Cognos SDK JAVA development, Migration experience, Strong Transact SQL (MS SQL Server). Proficient in working with Cognos Transformer Cubes and SQL server cube. Proven experience in playing a lead role on Dashboards/Reporting & BI projects. Excellent problem solving, analytical ability and debugging skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Working knowledge of Cognos Framework Manager.
