*SAP BW Technical Lead* *Location: Winston-Salem, NC*
*Start date: 5/2/11* *End date: 5/27/12* *Description**:* Act as the SAP Upgrade lead for a client based in NC. The role requires the co-ordination of client resources to plan and execute the upgrade of a R/3 4.7 system to ECC 6.0 and BW 3.5 to BW 7.1. · Manage a small team of developers (many in remote locations). · Responsible for the definition and delivery of (SAP) custom objects. · Identify tasks and resources required for the upgrade. Create a project plan to manage the delivery of the upgrade. · Determine the most appropriate methodology to perform the upgrade. · Ability to research requirements, define solutions, present (to the client) and manage the delivery of the agreed solution. · Builds strong rapport with clients creating respect and trust. · Understands how to construct and gain agreement for business cases. · Selects appropriate tools available to develop and manage the service delivery. · Shapes and influences client attitudes to outcomes and key benefits for both the client and HP. · Plan and lead delivery of workshops and facilitated client events. · Ability to propose solutions, addressing client business issues and objectives. · Assist the project manager to assemble the correct team for the engagement (conducts interviews and makes recommendations on candidates from both internal and external resources). * * *SAP Specific* · Background in developing custom objects for ECC, BW and APO · Has experience with migrating customer objects in SAP Upgrade (including Unicode) projects.
