We are initiating a project to upgrade PeopleSoft HR from version 8.8 to version 9.1. We are seeking a qualified "PeopleSoft HR Upgrade Specialist" consultant. Version 9.1 is what we desire, but upgrade to version 9.0 is OK. Anything less is No Good, The PeopleSoft HR Upgrade Specialist Will have a primary roll in migrating PeopleSoft HR environment from version 8.8 sp1 to version 9.1. This will include an Application upgrade from PeopleSoft HRMS from 8.8 sp1 to version 9.1, a PeopleTools upgrade, a migration from Windows to Unix platform and an upgrade of the Oracle database to version 11g. The successful candidate must be able to work under deadlines, be a team player and have a professional work ethic as well as experience as an Oracle DBA Administrator in HP UNIX and upgrading PeopleSoft HRMS application versions as well as toolsets. Also the person must be available on weekends towards the end of the project as we near the point of production migration. PeopleSoft Centric Technical Skills/Knowledge: PeopleSoft HR Upgrade experience preferably from version 8.8 to version 9.1. In-depth understanding of PeopleSoft architecture. Application server configuration and monitoring background. Process scheduler configuration and monitoring background. Experience with PeopleSoft Data Mover. PeopleSoft performance utilities and tracing options. PeopleSoft temporary tables use and performance aspects. PeopleSoft table space, table and index strategies. Knowledge of PeopleSoft metadata structure / objects. Understanding of PeopleSoft Messaging. PeopleSoft security. PeopleSoft installation experience. PeopleSoft locking strategies. PeopleSoft Centric Application Skills/Knowledge: ERP concepts. Functional understanding at a high level of two PeopleSoft modules. Application designer. Application engine. PeopleCode, SQR, COBOL (Micro Focus), nVision, Crystal Reports. PeopleSoft upgrade/change assistant. PeopleSoft project migration. Basic/Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience. Recent PeopleSoft HR upgrade experience as an upgrade specialist. Experience with Oracle 11g database and HP UX OS as well Windows operating systems. Experience and thorough understanding of backup, recovery and database re-org procedures. At least 5 years of experience with RDBMS is required with Oracle. 5 years experience with performance tuning and trouble-shooting skills. 5 years experience with n-tier architecture and database connectivity issues in a client/server environment. 5 years experience in a lead role providing mentorship and the go-to person regarding any database design and/or performance tuning. 5 years experience in database security administrator role.
