*Job Description:*

The IT Services Operations System – System Administrator is the person
responsible for maintaining the

IT Services Operations System. Responsibilities include performance tuning
and management of

WebSphere Application / Web servers, installing and upgrading IBM
Maximo/Tivoli applications running

on WebSphere, and Oracle system administration; including strong PL/SQL
skills, etc. The system runs

on a Virtual Windows platform. The application runs on WebSphere application
servers with Oracle

databases. There is also a small instance of DB2 included with the system.

*Position Requirements:*

𐁸 B.S. in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent work
experience

𐁸 5+ years or greater of system administrator experience

𐁸 The candidate must be able to work independently as well as with a team
under direction of

Gore’s IT Services Operations Technical team.

𐁸 Knowledge of Windows virtual server platform

𐁸 Strong knowledge of IBM WebSphere Application Server

𐁸 Ability to install, patch, and upgrade IBM WebSphere Application Server
software

𐁸 Ability to troubleshoot WebSphere software issues and work with software
vendor to resolve

issues

𐁸 Create and maintain documentation for operating procedures.

𐁸 Experience with various IBM Tivoli applications, such as Maximo
Enterprise Asset Management,

Tivoli Asset Management for IT, IBM Tivoli Integration Composer, Software
Knowledge Base

Toolkit, BIRT reporting, Tivoli Asset Discovery for Distributed etc.

𐁸 Able to create and maintain Production, Test, and Development
environments for above software.

𐁸 Knowledge of Oracle RDBMS with understanding of PL/SQL schema programming
(views,

functions, stored procedures, packages and triggers).

𐁸 Demonstrated skills in the areas of critical thinking and problem
solving.

𐁸 Demonstrated experience with all phases of a project's full lifecycle
development.

𐁸 Excellent interpersonal communication skills including listening and oral
and written presentation

of ideas.

*Preferred Experience:*

𐁸 Ability to tune and optimize WebSphere servers and cluster for improved
application performance

𐁸 Ability to install, patch, and upgrade DB2 database server software.

The Foglight Engineer shall be responsible for analysis, engineering,
planning, and implementation of
Foglight tasks. This position works closely with other engineers, analysts,
and project managers both
local and remote. They will be responsible for providing technical direction
for Foglight monitoring.
It is mandatory that the candidate filling this position adhere to change
control processes and work
comfortably in that process. This will require a good understanding of the
software development
lifecycle, as well as the detailed operations of a hosting infrastructure.

This candidate must be able to accept work assignments and complete them
on-time and within budget
as well as delegate when necessary. Good troubleshooting skills are
imperative to this position.
Candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Job Requirements:
• Identifies and triages server and application issues through monitoring
