This position is responsible for the functional design, configuration and support of Oracle’s Financials, Human Resources, Time and Labor, Projects and Purchasing applications. Core responsibilities include gathering and defining requirements, configuration of standard applications, business analysis, functional design of application extensions, upgrades and maintenance of financial applications, and end user support for multiple modules including GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Human Resources, Time and Labor and Projects and Purchasing. Minimum Qualifications • Experience providing day to day support and maintenance services for Oracle eBusiness application, giving front-line functional support to Oracle application users and performing functional support tasks. • Experience working with business users, developers and Oracle Support to research, document, and resolve Oracle systems issues. • Experience creating, documenting and/or performing 11i functional testing scenarios. Preferred Qualifications • Experience developing SQL reports and in the use of Oracle’s report writing tool ‘Discoverer’. • Experience performing gap analysis to determine e-Business suite system configuration and development changes. • Knowledge of system life cycles; system design concepts and methodologies; system documentation techniques. • Demonstrated ability understanding and applying financial theories and methodologies when developing user solutions and resolving user problems. • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field preferred; work experience and training may substitute for degree. • Experience with Virginia systems (CARS, CIPPS, eVA) desired. • Knowledge of GASB accounting principles and practices. • Experience with system analysis, PL/SQL, and Oracle applications. • Strong oral and written communication skills needed. • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and products. • Experience creating business requirements documents, system configuration documents, detailed functional design documents, test plans and test cases, user training documents and implementation documentation. • Ability to multi-task, take initiative in solving problems and work effectively with variety of people and work styles.
