* * *Q/A Test Engineer - Website Multimedia Apps* *Located in New York, NY*** *Duration – long term * Long-term consulting opportunity for a Sr. Q/A Test Engineer with experience testing web-based multimedia applications. This is an exciting position to provide full-life cycle testing services to support the applications development with our Top 10 online Digital Media client. You'll be responsible for testing functionality and troubleshooting new applications as they prepare for launch and to assure full quality assurance. Your role will span user interface/browser-based as well as back-end testing with servers and 3rd party distribution networks. This is a fast-paced and innovative group that requires an individual who can work well in an unstructured environment with minimal supervision - as well as possess the ability to research and clarify information & details both within and outside the organization. Required Skills: . 5+ years Web-based Q/A Testing experience (create test plans, test scripts, test execution, defect tracking) . Experience with all major web browsers, ie: IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, etc. . Experience with video player & video streaming technologies - ie: OSMF, transcoding, Brightcove, KickApps, Silverlight, Flash Player . Experience with Content Delivery Networks, ie: Akamai, Limelight, Level 3, etc. . Knowledge of CMS - Content Management Systems, ie: Drupal, WordPress a plus . Knowledge with other multimedia experience, ie: music, gaming, social media apps a plus . Must be inquisitive and research oriented to track down and resolve problems & issues when they arise . Ability to work independently and as a member of the team .
