Role: Web Designer/UI Developer Duration: 6 - 12 months City:* *Chevy Chase, MD* *"Note: looking for a local or a nearby candidates as an in-person interview is required"* * * *Job Desc: * Our client is in need of a *Senior Designer for a 6 month contract in support of the Mobile team*. The individual will be working on a mobile app and mobile web solution that will allow customers to modify their policy and file a claim through their Smartphone. The immediate need is for a Web / Smartphone Designer (not tablet yet). designs typically span devices *- Android, iPhone, etc*. so the individual must be comfortable with work on multiple devices/mobile platforms. Someone that is not open to that should not be presented. *Job Requirements: * Responsibilities include integrating creative design concepts to enhance user experience while maintaining a consistent design standards across all *mobile platforms and Mobile Website*. Ability to think creatively and contribute design ideas to improve the user experience and help drive key business metrics is highly desired. Experience in user-interface, usability and information architecture principles, with a proven track record designing for the mobile platform, supporting complex business functionality is preferred. Previous work experience exhibit in design portfolio is a plus*** *Proficiency in Photoshop, Notepad, Illustrator, Firebug, Web developer toolbar, CSS, HTML and Dreamweaver* is required. Experience creating wireframes and creating designs optimizing for mobile devices is highly desired. A solid understanding of current Internet standards, evolving Mobile browser technologies and application trends, cross-browser compliance, is a big plus. Must also have a demonstrated ability to work independently and multi-task on several assignments simultaneously.
