Fixed Income RATES TESTER ---Position 1 Main Function Work on a full test life-cycle for a high profile and complex business critical electronic trading application for the Fixed Income Rates desk. Analyse and capture etrading requirements from IT partners in sales, ecommerce and trading. Translate the requirements into test scripts. Main Duties Responsibilities/Duties: • Detailed manual testing of new functionality & regression of existing functionality. This includes Server & Client testing. Validation will be performed against the server & java logs, database, XML messages between the client & server as well as the front end applications. • Using the logs, database etc., perform comprehensive analysis of any error to debug issues and record issues in a defect tracking tool. Working with developers to identify root cause and resolve issues. • Validate that the solution is fit for purpose and supports the full end-to-end client business process. • Identifying test conditions from project documentation and design, develop, maintain and execute test cases which provide full coverage for load/stress, scalability, regression and functional testing. • Acquire knowledge transfer from Developers or Business Analysts who are expert in the relevant functional domain. • Coordination with the business representatives during the UAT stage and ascertaining business sign off. Identify risk and dependencies of the proposed release items. • Regularly asses progress and prepare test status report for management. • Provide release notes and demo new functionality to App Support team. • Responsible for the post release process Person Requirements Experience Required • Previous experience of detailed manual functional testing & structured testing methodology. • Capital markets (Fixed Income ) testing experience on a front office trading system • Electronic quoting and trading of rates products (government bonds, swaps, futures). • Understanding of front to back process flows and STP. • Strong analytical and document reviewing experience. • Must be able to demonstrate strong business skills • Strong understanding of pricing and risk management of the following products: • US Govt Bonds: Bills, Strips, Bonds; IR Futures; Derivatives: IR Swaps - all flavors Experience Preferred • Knowledge of Automation tools Skills / Aptitude Required • QA Methodology • Experience in using a central test and defect management tool like HP Mercury Quality Center (Test Director), JIRA and Sharepoint to manage a range of activities across a number of concurrent projects. • Excellent written and verbal skills • Pro-active, thorough, organized and energetic • Excellent problem solver with a commitment to thorough root cause analysis and business process improvement. • Experience in a Windows development environment. - SQL - UNIX - ClearQuest/JIRA. • VB Scripting skills • Strong user of MS Excel Skills / Aptitude Preferred • ITIL knowledge • Microsoft Windows LOCATION: NYC DURATION: 6 months RATE : DOE ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sr .NET C# Developer with Multi Threading--Position 2 Send details and resume as soon possible to [email protected] City: New York State: New York Description: LOCATION:NYC RATE: need on per day.
