Responsibilities: BS in CS or equivalent. 5+ years in IT project management, with focus on staffing or resource management. Familiarity with PDM & PPMC tools. Experience with managing 10+ FTEs as part of a single 6+ month project. Experience with 5+ projects ($5M labor each) and 5+ PMAs & 2 PMs from planning to O&M. Experience with Client Satisfaction Metrics, Project statistical & variance analysis, Estimating, Scope and risk management, QA reviews and inspection. PMI Project Management Professional certification, or equivalent. Qualifications: Manages one large-scale, highly complex project ($5M, 10 FTEs), or multiple intermediate ones, end to end. Gathers and further defines project requiremements. Determines staffing requirements and forms project teams. Provides leadership to assigned PMAs and PMs. Develops & maintains plans and objectives, including. metrics to assess progress, using established standards. Monitors milestones and deliverables to identify issues early, develops workarounds and communicates/escalates to leadership and sponsors as applicable. Provides the team with constructive performance feedback. Conducts regular reviews with sponsor and formally confirms final acceptance and satisfaction. Note: Experience with telecom infrastructure projects required. Experience in electric transmission/distribution substation environment preferred. Position will require 30% & use of own vehicle. Expenses such as mileage, lodging and meals when traveling will be reimbursed.
