*Job Title: HP UX ROLE* *Location: Springfield, MA* *Duration: 1 Year* HP UX ROLE IN MA RK11-19 JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide basic systems administration, operational support and problem resolution for UNIX systems. Perform hardware and software installation and upgrades. Monitor system performance and capacity, and report changes in usage. Forecast system demands; recommend upgrades, expansion and reconfiguration. Troubleshoot hardware and software problems, taking appropriate corrective action and/or interact with IT staff or maintenance providers in performing complex testing, support and troubleshooting functions. Participate in site setup, user training, hardware/software installation, maintenance and support and documentation of hardware/software logs and operating procedures. Perform basic user administration (adds, changes, deletes, disk space management, backups, and file restores). Document standards and operating procedures for the UNIX platforms, and act as a technical resource to the IT staff and systems users. Performs related duties as assigned or requested. This contract is for (3) 8 Hour days per week.
