**) Recommended yrs of experience as a programmer *
Minimum Five (5) years of programming experience.

**) Recommended yrs of exp as a COBOL/CICS programmer*
* *Minimum Three (3) years experience developing
COBOL/CICS applications.

**) Specific work experience (projects, types of work performed)*
Able to code complex batch COBOL programs
Able to code complex CICS/DB2 program s (online)
Able to code complex SQL statements against DB2
tables
Able to code complex stored procedures against DB2
tables

**) Educational requirements*
A Bachelor’s Degree in MIS or Computer Science is preferred but not
required.
* *
**) Required Technical skills*
Extensive knowledge of COBOL/CICS/DB2/Natural
Extensive knowledge of JCL for IBM
Extensive knowledge of, and ability to code,
complex batch COBOL programs
Extensive knowledge of, and ability to code,
complex CICS/DB2 programs (online)
Extensive knowledge of, and ability to code,
complex SQL statements against DB2 tables
Extensive knowledge of, and ability to code,
complex stored procedures against DB2 tables
*) *Required "Soft" skills (communication skills, analysis skills, team
experience)*

Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills
The ability to translate complex technical information into easily
understandable language/documentation.
The ability to work in a team environment. (This position requires the
programmer to work closely and support peer programmers, systems analysts,
and dba’s in order to design and develop the most efficient web sites and
applications possible for the organization.)
Willingness to accept a variety of assignments (from analysis to
maintenance) with equal enthusiasm.
Must be able to work independently or with minimal guidance.
