Employment Type: Contract 12+ months City: Chicago State: Illinois Status: Accepting Candidates Description: 12 Month Contract O&T USA TAC Enterprise AppsEDM Business Analyst Summary Under direct supervision, responsible for assisting in planning and monitoring the activities that are necessary to complete a business analysis effort. Assists in the development of recommendations to solve problems and issues related to EDM. Responsible for following established guidelines and identifying and resolving problems. Major Duties 1. Will work on assignments meant to complete a business analysis effort by following NT SDLC guidelines and working with identified stakeholders. 2. Will work with stakeholders to help identify and understand their needs, concerns, and environment or business in which they work by interviewing and documenting for verification. 3. Manage minor conflicts, issues and changes to requirements in order to ensure stakeholders and the project team that they are in agreement on the solution scope and make sure the requirements are communicated for current and future use. 4. Help to identify and understand the business need, refine and clarify the definition of that need, and help to develop a solution scope that is in line with EDM Program direction. Contribute to the development of the business case. 5. Contribute to the development of solutions which best fits the business need, assist identifying gaps and shortcomings in solutions, and helps to identify necessary work-around or changes to the solution. Assist in testing of developed solution to confirm alignment with the business requirements. Knowledge/Skills Has solid knowledge or formal course work training/ understanding of the business analyst functional competencies. Has prior experience to deal with complexity on functional issues. Can rely on direct supervision to complete complex assignments but is able to self manage scope of work assigned. Partners with peers to provide assistance on completing tasks, but also fully accountable for ensuring delivered product meets defined requirements. Requires strong communication skills, both written and oral. Requires negotiation skills. Experience Required Requires a college or university degree and/or relevant proven work experience sufficient to provide knowledge of and exposure to the functional business. Demonstrates prior experience in a business analyst role.
