INFRASTRUCTURE PM (Please have the candidate do a self evaluation of his
skills compared to the specifications)
The Technology Deployment Section at our client is seeking a very senior
contract project manager to lead a large, highly visible infrastructure
project pertaining to risk management. The anticipated term of the
engagement will be 6 months to 1 year. This new opportunity exists due to
additional demand for infrastructure project management services.
*Required*
Bachelors Degree
15+ years of IT experience
5+ years of experience in managing large, complex, highly visible, highly
technical, time critical IT projects or programs in a Fortune 500 corporate
setting
5+ years of technical, supervisory, or project management experience
directly relating to the establishment of new computing environments or
deployment of new infrastructure technology in a n-tier architecture
entailing web applications and integration with legacy applications
3+ years of experience in managing projects entailing delivery/deployment
of IT infrastructure (i.e., in one of the following infrastructure towers:
Storage, Server, Middleware, Database, Risk Management, Desktop,
Experience in managing project teams consisting of cross-functional roles
(e.g., Business SMEs, Business Analysts, Systems Analysts, Systems
Engineers, Developers, Performance Test Engineers, DBAs, Architects,
Infrastructure Specialists, Systems Administrators, IT Service Management
Specialists, etc.)
Experience in managing large projects over a complete life cycle from
requirements analysis through deployment and post production support
Exceptional project management skills
Superior IT technical and analytical skills
*Outstanding communications, interpersonal, and relationship management
skills*

Advanced Degree
*Significant experience in using CA’s Clarity Project and Portfolio
Management System*
*Property and Casualty Insurance Industry experience** **(required)***
Technical or Project Management experience with developing, testing, and
deploying new applications (custom developed or vendor software package
with custom integration) pertaining to the risk management capabilities
(security management and account management)
Technical or Project Management experience with architecting, designing,
performance testing, and/or deploying complex n-tier computing environments
requiring virtual computing and high-availability
Technical or Project Management experience with performance testing tools
such as HP’s Performance Center.
Technical or Project Management experience with end-to-end application
performance monitoring tools such as CA’s Wily, OPNET, or HP.
Technical or Project Management experience with SOA concepts and
integration products such as IBM’s Websphere Message Broker / Fabric
