Refreshing QA and Dev environments from Live. Operational knowledge of database backup / replication softwares like EMC, Veritas etc is a plus. · Database Performance Tuning. · Should be able to manage, train, recruit and motivate high performance team to deliver technical services · Experience in Database Dump and Load and Progress upgrades · Experience in code deployment, compilation and trouble shooting of issues relating to it. Providing support to the Development Team. · Should understand complex Unix scripts and be able to develop new scripts · Installation and configuration experience of Progress and .Net UI. · Experience in configuring and administering Progress WebSpeed · Should be fully conversant in Unix Shell Scripting and should be proficient in writing shell scripts for database administration and monitoring. Knowledge of Progress 4GL queries is a plus. · Security administration in OS / Progress, user access definition, user access management, monitoring and maintaining security of the Production environments.
