*Required Skills:
*The Tech lead will be responsible for the coding and care of the web
platform's backend services, architecture and external integrations. Tech
Leads must display strong communication skills and a proactive
personalities. The candidate must be able to work in a corporate setting
where timelines are fluid, must be able to be productive during downtimes
and at ease in a fast paced environment, able to handle their work and the
people reliant on them with a professional manner. Able to understand and
grasp processes related to development and bug fixing with an eye towards
detail.
A high level of experience with *EJB, Servlets, JSP, JDBC, JNDI, RMI/IIOP,
JTA/JTS, Java Persistence API, JMS, JSF, JCA, JDK1.5+.
*At least a medium level of understanding of "collections".
At least a medium level of experience with Spring or other similar
framework.
A high level of experience in applying Open Source solutions.
At least a low level of experience in server setup.
At least a high level of experience with Apache Tomcat.
At least a medium level of experience with IBM WebSphere.
At least a medium level of experience with Hudson/Jeeves.
A high level of experience with ANT.
At least a medium level of experience with SVN.
At least a medium level of experience with XSLT.
At least a medium level of experience in Performance Monitoring.
A high level of experience with Services, both Restful and SOAP.
A solid concept of caching methodologies.
Has worked with some form of Templating system in the past (Velocity or
Freemarker preferably), understands the role of the Templating Engine and
how to best apply it.
Understands Design Patterns that are suited for the Web, especially the MVC
pattern.
Understands the role of the Build System in optimizing files for web
delivery, and the moving of those files from one environment to another.
Understands the role of QA, and the process of bug fixing.
Has worked independently and in a team environment.
