*Position: Unix Administrator* *Location: Stamford, CT* *Duration: Long Term Contract* Candidates local to tri-state are considered. • Validate the list of custodians and time frames connected to the litigation with the legal and compliance teams. • Work with storage teams to restore raw compliance files from tape backup for the requested time frames. • Based on the scope of work, set and manage delivery expectations and provide frequent status updates to the concerned teams involved. • Run homegrown tools to extract final chat transcripts from the raw compliance files. • Conduct QA on the final chat transcripts. • Deliver final chat transcripts to legal and compliance in accordance with prevailing IT Security best practices. *Required Skill sets:* *• 4-5 years experience with working on UNIX and Windows operating systems.* *• 2-3 years experience troubleshooting script errors, network errors and operating system errors.* *• 2-3 years expereience with UNIX shell and PERL scripts.* • Knowledge of MS Excel • Understanding of basic legal terms and business terminologies. • Self-motivated with excellent communication skills. • Excellent analytical skills. Education/Experience: • Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related discipline • Experience with systems maintenance in a large organization providing 24x7 production support and maintenance of mission critical databases.
