Job Title : Scrum Master Location : San Diego, CA Duration : 6 Months *Mode of Interview: Telephonic followed by face2face* Job Summary This Scrum Master role is responsible for coordinating the delivery of agile-based project deliverables, leading the development project team to implement iterative releases, and ensuring the teams adhere to scrum methodologies and processes. This role will facilitate internal/external communication, removing impediments, and serving as the intermediary between product owners, managers, and team members. This position requires someone who is an excellent communicator and who is a servant leader to guide our Scrum teams. Major Responsibilities • Organize and facilitate sprint planning, daily scrum meetings, retrospectives, release planning, demos, and other related meetings • Assist as needed with backlog maintenance • Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress • Be an excellent facilitator, facilitate communication, improve transparency, and radiate information • Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution, must be able to facilitate discussion and facilitate alternatives or different approaches • Empower the team to self-organize • Be self-motivated and capable of managing multiple priorities and tasks, must have high-energy to be able to motivate and encourage the team • Assist in mitigating distractions and increasing team focus • Be intimately familiar with Scrum, ensure adherence to Agile/Scrum concepts and principles • Be a Servant Leader, must be able to earn respect from his/her team and be willing to jump in and do what is needed to get the job done. Ability to work effectively and get things done in a dynamic environment • Must continually grow not only themselves but the entire team. Learning from other teams and learning new tools and techniques to bring to the team. Passion for continuous improvement. Additional Information Typically has 3-5 years of scrum master experience in banking technology environment with in-depth knowledge of Scrum and implementation of Agile Methodologies to multiple teams. Problem resolution experience requires strong analytical and communication skills, sound judgment and ability to work effectively with team members, product owners, and management. Position requires understanding of banking applications and banking business. Hands-on individual that coaches the teams, consulting with all layers of the organization recommending the right Agile model that fits the organizational culture guiding multiple teams on a day to day basis, leveraging existing Agile practices for continuous improvement.
