*1. Strong troubleshooting skills for resolving various performance
issues and tuning.
2. Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment
3. Expert-level knowledge of database design, implementation,
transaction processing, referential integrity, performance tuning and
monitoring with an emphasis in MS SQL
4. Exceptional data modeling, relational database design, and ability
to create and implement physical databases from logical data models
5. Experience with developing and managing high availability solutions:
replication, clustering, mirroring, log shipping
6. Demonstrated exceptional data-access coding skills: T-SQL, stored
procedures, triggers, functions, and views.
7. Hands-on knowledge of database backup and recovery methods and tools
(SQL native, Oracle RMAN, Idera, etc)
8. Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to translate
information and develop insights
9. Exceptional interpersonal skills, ability to lead working groups,
negotiate and create consensus*

*Desired Additional Skills:
*- MySQL and Oracle experience is a plus
- Hands-on experience with at least one of the following development
environments/languages: C#, Java, .NET, JavaScript
