The components primary responsibilities include implementing an open systems Storage/Hardware environment based on projections provided to us, developing storage solutions based off the needs of the business, and providing subject matter expertise for problem resolution. This position will primarily focus on tasks associated with setting and establishing Enterprise Storage strategy. This person will need to possess an in depth knowledge of Network Attached Storage (NAS) infrastructure, supporting/maintaining our Storage Area Network (SAN) infrastructure, and the associated fiber/fabric infrastructure needed to support these technologies. The individual will need to possess or have the willingness to learn, an in-depth technical understanding of storage area networking protocols, software, and fabric management, fabric login, fabric zoning, and management software that will be used to modify, architect, design, document, evaluate, and troubleshooting the storage infrastructure.
