Position: VMWare Engineer Location: Nashville, TN Duration: 6+ months Must be Green Card or US Citizen. Also must have Wintel experience. Short Description: VMware Engineer - Design, implement, and support Enterprise Wintel, Citrix and and VMWare systems in direct support of MedHost Implementations. Complete Description: JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES Ø Create and maintain VMWare infrastructure standards documentation as it relates to infrastructure systems design, configuration, support, and processes. Ø Design, implement, and support Enterprise Wintel, Citrix and VMWare systems and other LAN and WAN infrastructures. Ø Plan and coordinate, install, configure, patch, upgrade, and maintain Wintel, Citrix, and VMWare technologies. Ø Must have the ability to create, assimilate and convey technical material in a concise and effective manner via text-based, technical data flows and diagrams. Ø Manage several tasks simultaneously, regularly reviewing priorities to be sure that projects are completed on time. Ø Diagnose and resolve complex configuration and troubleshooting issues within a multi-vendor infrastructure. Ø Contribute to the creation and maintenance of infrastructure standards documentation as it relates to infrastructure systems design, configuration, support, and engineering processes for end-to-end service offerings. JOB QUALIFICATIONS Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills. Ability to work and effectively communicate with executives, enterprise-wide and group management, peers, and outside vendors. Strong analytical and problem resolution skills, organizational skills, and ability to analyze business problems and opportunities. Strong ability to work on and prioritize multiple, concurrent projects while meeting aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with limited supervision. Outstanding customer service skills. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Ø Bachelor's degree preferred or previous commensurate experience Ø 5+ years experience - specialized knowledge of the implementation and support of Wintel, VMWare, Citrix, and Active Directory infrastructures Ø 5+ years experience in supporting large corporate Wintel, Citrix, and VMWare systems, Active Directory and related networking platforms Ø MSCE certification preferred Ø Experience supporting large enterprise VMWare platforms Ø Experience supporting Citrix XenServer 4.5 and 6.5 Ø Experience with Windows Server (2003, 2008, 2008R2), solution design and implementation Ø Experience with Active Directory and Network fundamentals, protocols (such as TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS), Group Policy and Profile Management.
