Job Summary:
The Business Analyst is responsible for assisting internal and/or external
customers with requirements that the technical teams can meet and align
with overall project requirements. This position will analyze business
requirements and needs, apply knowledge of current and future technologies,
and develop overall systems requirements in order to translate between
customer business problems/terminology and internal development
terminology. *

*Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as the liaison between the system users and the development team to
help design and develop applications
• Facilitate and document the interactive system requirement sessions to
capture business rules, workflow, project goals, **and project benefits
• Confer with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current
operational procedures, identify problems and **learn specific input and
output requirements
• Write detailed description of user needs and program functions
• Prepare workflow charts and diagrams to specify in detail operations to
be performed by equipment and computer **programs and operations to be
performed by personnel in system
• Plan and prepare technical reports and memoranda as documentation of
program development
• Provide assistance as required to organizations outside of the company
(vendors, customers) to develop/improve **automation that crosses company
boundaries
• Maintain an effective user-support relationship
• Perform black box, integration and regression testing of the additional
module / applications developed on an ongoing **basis
• Train users as required
• Develop expertise on the current applications that are in use and provide
first level support for issues faced by the **users
• Gain application configuration knowledge and configure applications to
meet business needs
• Prepare application release notes, monthly progress reports
• Prepare ‘how to’ documents on new features
• Assist with development of user guides
• Travel up to 10% of the time
• Perform other duties as assigned

*Minimum Qualifications:
• Minimum of 4 years work experience is desired as a business analyst
• Minimum of 3 years experience using Microsoft Office suite (Visio, Word,
Project, Excel, and PowerPoint) *

*Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience as business analyst in a logistics company
• Experience facilitating application design sessions
• Experience in areas of process improvement
• Experience writing test plans for system and user acceptance testing
• Project Management skills
• Experience working with Client/Server and Web applications

• Hands-on experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting systems
• Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Business Administration

The IT Business Analyst – Senior is responsible for assisting customers
with defining and articulating requirements that can then be translated
into overall project requirements. This position serves as the liaison
between the system users and the development team to help design and
develop applications.*

• Facilitate and document the interactive system requirement sessions to
capture business rules, workflow, project goals, **and project benefits
• Confer with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current

appropriate combination of Narrative, Unified Modeling Language (UML), Use
Cases, Wireframes and Flowcharts, translating business requirements to IT

• Plan and prepare technical reports and memoranda as documentation of

• Experience performing design activities such documenting data mappings
