Sr. Java UI Developer Eagan, MN 6-12 +Months Contract Responsibilities Technical implementation and deployment of the user interface for the internal web based request system. Participate in the development and implementation of software solution to meet customer needs Collaborate with team members and architects to understand customer requirements and implement the solution Participate in efforts to integrate systems, including off-the-shelf product integration Develop quality software solutions Actively participate in software development projects using agile development practices Actively incorporate performance & scalability into solutions Understand design patterns and implement them in software Other Skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent critical thinking and problem solving capability Take personal responsibility to impact results, deliver on commitments, and reduce costs Ability to work independently and in a team environment Technical Skills Extensive understanding of HTML 4.01 and working knowledge of HTML 5 specifications Advanced knowledge of Javascript development including but not limited to: HTML Form validation,AJAX design principles, development and maintenance of Javascript libraries Strong understanding of cross browser design considerations and issues Strong understanding of user experience design principles Strong understanding of CSS-based design Ability to rapidly prototype user interfaces in working HTML with CSS based upon simple wireframe models Working knowledge of Linux based operating systems, their underlying components and web related services:Web Servers (Apache, LiteSpeed, etc),SQL Servers (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc),Mail Servers (Exim, Sendmail etc), DNS Servers (BIND),Linux Filesystems (ext3, reiser, etc) Education and Previous Experience BS/BA in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 3+ years of professional experience as a user interface developer, with 2+ years building web applications Practical project and personnel management skills with respect to medium/large scale software projects Thanks & Regards Michael Anthony Technical Recruiter CAT Technology Inc.
