Deployment Role: *Power Supply and Bacttery Pack System Design Engineer*



*Knowledge/Experience: *

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, related field or equivalent
experience. *7+ years* of *system level power supply and Li-Ion battery
pack design* experience.



The Power Supply and Battery Pack System Design Engineer will design and
support all aspects of the HP/UDU Power Supply and battery pack
development. The engineer will mainly concentrate on the electrical/system
level design and validation of the Power Supply and Battery Pack subsystem.
The engineer will work closely with Mechanical engineering and ODMs to
spec/guide/validate the power subsystem.



*Primary Responsibilities:*

   1. Design and Specify the *Power Supply and BBU electrical characteristic
   * as well as *system behaviors*.
   2. Working closely with *Mechanical and ODM* to implement the *Power
   Supply and BBU designs*.
   3. Perform the system level electrical design validation.
   4. Support failure analyses on custom escalation on the *Power Supplies
   and BBUs*.



*Required Skills:*

   - Directly applicable work experience as an *Power Supply and Battery
   Systems Engineer*
   - Basic knowledge of the fundamentals of *Li-Ion cell type, performance,
   charging/discharging, fuel gauge, cell testing/data analysis, and battery
   management system and failure modes*.
   - Basic knowledge of the fundamentals of *AC/DC Power Supply design,
   PFC, DC/DC, Rectifier, Oring FET, Control signals, Power Supply
   testing/data analysis and failure modes*.
   - Strong problem solving skills, with the ability to combine theory with
   empirical observation
   - Ability to interact effectively with vendors and colleagues
   - Self-motivated, persistent, hands-on, and results-oriented
   - Strong written and oral communication
   - Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
