Job Title : .NET SQL Server Conversion Analyst Work Location: Austin, TX Duration: 4 Months SCOPE OF PROJECT As the .NET SQL Server Conversion Analyst you’ll be gathering the requirements used in current Access applications, migrate the data to an MS SQL database and building a new .NET application. Testing and user acceptance will be required before sign off is complete. This request is for a methodical, repeatable process for less than 10 Access applications. RESPONSIBILITIES Set up configuration on the development tier to provide industry standard implementations of .Net/ MS SQL server applications. Assist DBA with the logical and physical design of the Database. May assist DBA with the export / import of data. Write custom programs in .Net / MS SQL server to meet user requirements. Work with DBA and System Administrator to configure tools and install applications on the production tier. Responsible for working with the DBA to gather and understand the functional requirements to meet user expectations. Document the functional requirements Work with the project manager to provide a detailed plan to build .NET application Create test plan to verify the current functionality is transferred to .NET application.
