*Position: SAP HANA Consultant* *Location: Houston, TX* *Duration: 1 year* *Interview: Phone* *POSITION PURPOSE: * This role is for the SAP Projects, Consulting, and Implementation (PCI) team. This team is responsible for SAP related projects from initiation to implementation. The PCI team will ensure the smooth transition of new projects and/or customers into the operational mode. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The candidate should have very strong technical SAP skills. The candidate should have experience with SAP HANA appliance, preferably with implementation for the HANA appliance. This candidate may be asked to lead work streams within a large implementation project Responsible to implement new SAP systems, and upgrade existing systems Support customer project team, and consult on project related problems Support operational escalations, and consult with operational teams Providing support for SAP systems on UNIX/Linux platforms Must work with teams that sit in offsite locations OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Customer–oriented support and coordination services in daily business Optimization of the service elements and achieving the target cost level Recommendation for portfolio consolidation and standardization, definition of KPIs Cooperation/interaction of the operational planning and forecasting with SDM Technical communication to customer in daily business (customer’s native language) In office time available for customers ad hoc requests and questions Proactive customer development and technical consulting (first responder) Technical support to create additional business Regular, predictable attendance Other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: Strong level of experience in the installation and configuration of SAP systems (required) Experience working with SAP HANA.
