Immediate need Business Analyst w/ SharePoint, Oil & Gas Exp - Roseland, NJ

Role:   Business Analyst w/ SharePoint, Oil & Gas Exp
Location:  Houston, TX
Duration: 12+ month*

*Job Description:*
The Business Analyst will be the first point of contact with business
subject matter experts and/or the business interface team to gather
solution requirements.
This includes interpretation of business requirements and the ability to
document those requirements into a charter and other project documentation
as needed.
Also includes the ability to assess and challenge the IT solutions
requested and to find ways to implement the solution into new or existing
applications.
Making sure the right tools and processes are followed, including adherence
to project (PDF) methodology will be essential to the role.
Arranging and conducting meetings with IT technical teams along with
business focal points is required.
This would include resolution of outstanding project requirement issues as
well as collecting new requirements.
In addition to the above accountabilities, the Business Analyst plays an
active role in disseminating knowledge and best practices.
This would include collecting project lessons learned from various
stakeholders and determining value across the business for the work
performed within IMTS.
The role seeks opportunities to identify / drive continuous improvement
activities.
Working knowledge of SharePoint 2010 is of high value within the role as it
is used extensively throughout IMTS development and within P&T in general.
Additional knowledge of InfoPath and Excel Services along with SQL
Reporting and Web Dashboards is desirable.

*Requirements:*
Degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or Technical preferred.
Minimum 5 years of experience as Business Analyst or Project Manager and
Business Experience with SharePoint.
Oil and Gas experience required.
Strong problem solving skills including the demonstrated ability to
understand the user's business and process issues and implement well
designed IM/IT solutions.
Clear writing style with ability to produce transparent procedure &
guideline documentation.
Handle multiple tasks concurrently, properly prioritize, reliably address.
Apply new tools to significantly expand the user's productivity.
Provide easy information access to end users based on their needs.
Reliable and able to work independently to accomplish tasks.
Excellent organization and communication skills.
Gets along with other team members and can effectively work through others
by influence rather than direct control.
Excel Services and InfoPath desirable.
Business process automation and workflow experience preferred.
Experience of global/virtual working.
Experience of Process Management.
Experience of Continuous Improvement methodology.
Change management experience.
