Senior Java Developer
Designs, develops, and implements web-based Java applications to support
business requirements. Follows approved life cycle methodologies, creates
design documents, and performs program coding and testing. Resolves
technical issues through debugging, research, and investigation. Requires a
bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 4-6 years of experience in the
field or in a related area. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and
procedures within a particular field. Relies on extensive experience and
judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide
degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a
supervisor or manager.
MUST HAVE skill include
Java 6 on Tomcat
SQL
XML
Nice to Have Skills:
Hibernate/Spring
JavaScript or other UI related Technologies like JSF or YUI
Performance tuning JavaScript - candidates must also have great
communication skills between the technology and non-technology speak and be
comfortable working in an Agile environment (no paired programming at this

In-depth understanding of Software Testing Methodology (Agile/Scrum) which
includes Test Planning, Test Coverage (BDD), Unit Test Development
(Cucumber/Groovy), Functional Test Development, Test Execution, Test
Triage, Fix Verification, Regression, Upgrade and Dataload Testing
JAVA programming experience
Experience in IntelliJ
Attend Design Reviews to gain understanding of functionality in order to
develop and execute testing tasks and responsibilities.
Provide recommendation/feedback on Product and Customer Specifications to
Project Manager’s and Developers regarding functionality.
Ability to develop Test Strategies, Unit/Functional/Regression Test Plans
for Certifications (Using BDD, Gherkin, Cucumber, and Java/Groovy)
Ability to coordinate testing efforts across all areas of Testing
Department (Performance, Security, and Functional)
Unit/Functional Test Development: Develop Test Strategies (BDD/Gherkin),
Test Cases/Scripts (Cucumber) and Test Data for new product functionality
and/or customer requests from Requirements/Specifications
Test Execution: Triage Automated Tests. Conduct Functional, Regression,
Upgrade and Localization testing to assure Functionality is working as
expected.
Data Load/Conversion Testing: Conduct test execution on specific customer
data and databases as directed
Ability to conduct, monitor and provide feedback to others for
Unit/Functional/ Regression Test Execution
Problem Research and Error Isolation: Conduct analysis of testing
results/failures. Prepare and submit detailed problem reports for
correction. Work with development staff to resolve issues.
Fix Verification/Impact Analysis: Verify problems reported during testing
are working as designed. Verify no further regressions are caused by the
fix.
Responsible for communicating with QA Team Lead and QA Analyst’s on test
progress/status in a timely manner
Able to estimate time and resource needs for testing projects to include
test coverage, test development, test execution, fix verification, data
import validation and delivery. Track time Estimated, Scheduled and Actuals
for projects and resources.
Develop high and in-depth Product Knowledge and develop Subject Matter
Expertise. Able to access impact of changes through our product and
determine test coverage needed.
