Sr.Cognos Developer

6 +Months Contract
The Senior Cognos Developer will analyze, design, develop, and support
initiatives to deliver Cognos 10 frameworks enabling end user reporting
capabilities as well as advanced reporting development and data analysis by
power users and Business Intelligence analysts.
Responsibilities:
Hands on development and implementation of large information systems with a
focus on complex
business units including Retail Store Operations, Product Distribution and
Supply Chain, and
Financials
Develop completes range of BI capabilities: reporting, analysis, score
carding, dashboards and
business event management
Design and develop complex report - Complex Drill-Through, Cascading
Prompts, Summary
Reports, Burst Reports
Developed DMR Models & IQDs in Framework Manager
Proficient with Power Play Transformer model design and Power Play cube
building
Display aptitude in unearthing and understanding various business units,
their analytical needs, and
how to translate those needs to tangible BI solutions
Skills and Experience:
Bachelor?s degree in Computer Science or related degree (or equivalent work
experience)
7 years of development and design of information systems and deep technical
knowledge in relevant
technology
7+ years of experience in data warehousing and business intelligence with
emphasis on business
requirements analysis, application design, and development, testing,
implementation and
maintenance of data warehouse and data mart systems
5 years of experience on Cognos Tools namely Cognos 10.2, Cognos 8.4 Suite
(Framework
Manager, Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Query Studio, and Cognos
Connection)
5+ Years of Oracle and SQL Server DBMS experience
Experience with development of metadata modeling using Cognos Framework
Manager
Expertise with Cognos Administration and security
Cognos 10, Cognos 8, Report Studio, Query Studio, Analysis Studio,
Transformer, Power
Experience designing and delivering projects, packages, and reports using
Framework Manager,
Query Studio, Report Studio, Analysis Studio
Experience in designing and developing Business Insight Dashboards
Previous automotive industry experience a plus
