ORACLE DATA MODELER* Location: Houston, TX Position Type: Contract ** *SUMMARY* This position is a senior data modeler consulting role. The ideal candidate will have experience analyzing current data models, creating new data models, and merging/integrating two platforms.
*Job Responsibilities* - Participate in data model design pattern discussions within data modeling team - Create conceptual/logical/physical Data Models with other data modelers for data warehouse including ETL processing data structure by using Dashboard/Scorecard, Crystal, Business Universe, Data Integrator, and Xcellsius 2008 - Follow model management process, data naming standards, data modeling strategy and guidelines for using Dashboard/Scorecard, Crystal, Business Universe, Data Integrator, and Xcellsius 2008during data modeling. - Generate base DDL scripts from Dashboard/Scorecard, Crystal, Business Universe, Data Integrator, and Xcellsius 2008 - Provide technical metadata for Source to Client data mapping. - Document data model change details and keep all the related documents up-to-date. * Experience/Skills required* - At least 8 years of overall IT experience in the general area of database/data warehouse design and development. - At least the last 3 years of experience focused on data modeling, both relational and dimensional modeling in a Data Warehouse environment. - Demonstrated knowledge of Data Modeling methodologies in a warehouse environment - Strong data warehouse analysis skills: reporting analysis, source data element analysis and system/business process analysis in a Data Warehouse - environment - Strong database development background and data warehouse analysis skills (Oracle and Informatica preferred) - Experienced in the full lifecycle data warehouse development projects - Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills - Business experience related to energy is a plus If this opportunity is aligned with your experience and career goals (or if you're looking for something different), I would love to assist you--let's schedule a time to talk.
