*Title:* ETL/C# Developer *Location:* Chicago, IL *Duration:* 6-12 month contract * * *****NEED LOCAL PEOPLE WHO CAN INTERVIEW IN PERSON IN CHICAGO***** ****MUST HAVE FINANCIAL, PREFFERABLY FIXED INCOME EXPERIENCE**** * * *Description:* We are looking for a senior hands-on technologist who is passionate about technology, Fixed Income data and data integration development to create best in class enterprise level solutions. All team members are part of a rotating support structure to handle front-end and data question which the Production Services team does not have knowledge to address. Approximately 10 – 20% of time is spent on support, audit and other continuous improvement type of tasks. *Candidate Profile/ Responsibilities:* • Must have proven track record in successfully building, releasing, and maintaining large-scale enterprise systems in a complex technology environment – preferably within a major Global Asset Manager or Investment Banking Group • Experience working in an agile environment with your SCRUM team focusing on sprint by sprint deliveries • Write high quality code, using test-driven development (TDD) practices • Analytical and questioning mind. Able to challenge the status quo on a large scale and suggest viable alternative approaches. • Excellent communication skills for cross group collaboration, be able to discover solutions to problems and objectively defend them, and propose design alternatives and articulate pros and cons. • High energy, results driven person with strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well with global teams, including time-zone flexibility. *Minimum Qualifications:* • *5+ years of analyzing data models and developing ETL mappings (OLTP, File feeds, XML feeds)* • *5+ years of experience in development for data movement, data quality, data cleansing and other ETL- related activities.* • Experience in design, requirements gathering, documentation, and testing of large-scale processes that ingest and extract data from warehouse and transactional database systems • Experience designing, writing and debugging custom C# and/or SSIS packages used to handle input and output flat-file feeds, data transformations, and data loads into transactional and operational databases • Strong SQL, PL/SQL skills Basic Knowledge in MS-SQL Server 2008 DB and • *3+ years of development experience in .NET using C#, with experience in C# 4.0/4.5 being highly desirable* • Ability to troubleshoot ETL processes failures or warnings and provide technical support for all ETL- Datastage related issues. • Working knowledge of DB concepts such as tables, indexes, locks and views • Ability to debug, trace and fixing issues in SSIS/DTS packages and Stored Procedures • Experience working with large databases and high-volume batch data loading operations • Experience working in an Agile (SCRUM, XP, Kanban) environment/team focusing on sprint by sprint deliveries** Preference given to candidates with the following experience • Database Design • SCRUM Master certification • Experience with Fixed Income applications and/or trade order management systems being highly desirable • Test Driven Development (TDD) using NUnit or equivalent • Multi-threading, parallel programming • SubVersion/TortiseSVN/Ankh • Messaging (TIBCO or MQ) • Experience with Service Oriented Architectures (SOA) Education A four year Bachelor’s Degree or the international equivalent in Computer Science or Engineering is preferred or commensurate relevant work experience.
