This person is responsible for maintaining the operational status of systems and work closely with other members of the information technology department within the company. The IDEAL candidate will have experience in using VMWARE and/or PlateSpin technologies to convert servers from physical to virtual. * Responsibilities:* This position will be responsible to provide 24 X 7on-call rotation support of windows platform systems running different applications. This includes, but not limited to, windows server build/rebuild of physical & VM windows servers, server configurations, operational support of hardware/OS, troubleshooting complex/high availability systems, patching, software deployments, operational support documentation & monitoring system performance. Manage VMware infrastructure for Corporate and Engineering including Performance tuning, capacity planning, managing clusters of ESX servers and policy creation. rovide administration support for Active Directory 2008R2, Exchange 2010 and Lync 2010 Build and run scripts (Preferably PowerShell) to manage/automate tasks related to VMWare and Windows platforms. Manage network core services including DNS, PKI and DHCP Participate in after-hours weekly shifts that responses to business emergency requests Installations of new software and system upgrades including evaluation and installation of MS patches. Manage Mobile backend solutions including Blackberry and Active Sync Setup and configure network printers Rack and stack servers and network equipment Resolve escalated issues from Service desk Actively monitor IT maintained systems
