Job Description The .Net Software Engineer position is a 6+ month contract focused on the maintenance of applications built on the .NET platform. Job Requirements BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical degree 2+ years experience developing solutions on a Microsoft application stack (.NET framework, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, IIS, SQL Server) , with 5+ years of job experience in the IT field. Previous experience in web portal integration work that includes: Web Presentation; Single-Sign on; Authorization; Content Management; User Provisioning and 3rd party integration Strong experience with the following technologies: C#, .NET, ASP.NET, ASP.NET MVC, ADO.NET, XML, SQL, IIS, Active Directory, Windows Server 2003 or 2008, Web Services Knowledge of advanced elements of the .NET Framework (data binding, ASP.NETUI composition, data caching and persistence, remoting, reflection, serialization, security, REST, WCF, etc…) Working knowledge of software design patterns Strong experience with object oriented design principles Experience with version control tools and concepts Experience with Agile like testing of software plans a plus Other Skills Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) Effective in a team environment as well as working independently Excellent problem solving skills Able to work in a fast-paced milestone driven environment Excellent people skills.
