Job Title:  Linux Admin
Location: Plano, TX
Duration: 3-6 month contract
Rate : 45hr on C2C*

*Job Description:*
• Knowledgeable, creative, hardworking individual to provide exceptional
customer service in a fast-paced operations environment supporting a
24x7x365 mission critical Linux Servers environment.
• The Linux system administrator is responsible for day-to-day operational
maintenance, support, OS installations and upgrades for enterprise servers.
• Monitor and tune systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
• On call support will be required for troubleshooting or pre-planned
maintenance on production systems.
Essential Duties/Qualifications:
• Detect, diagnose, and report Linux related problems.
• Responsible for building, maintaining and troubleshooting Unix/Linux
based systems
• Ensure system availability and backups are maintained in accordance to
SLAs
• Lead projects related to complex system implementation and enhancements.
• Work closely with the Project Management Office to deliver projects and
tasks in a timely manner.
• Document processes, participate in meetings and provide weekly reports.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Participate in 24x7 on-call rotation.

*Required Skills:*
3+ years of experience supporting Linux (Red Hat/CentOS/Debian).
3+ years of experience supporting FreeBSD.
2+ years of experience supporting Windows Server (All versions).
1+ years of experience installing and configuring of Linux on Cisco UCS
Blade Infrastructure
4 year Degree in a computer related field or additional work experience may
be substituted for education requirement.
Basic understanding of TCP/IP.
Knowledge of IBM, HP, and Dell hardware.
Ability to install and maintain various open source software packages.
Working knowledge of PXE, KickStart, Satellite and SpaceWalk server.
Must be able to work independently, quickly comprehend new technologies,
and handle multiple issues and projects concurrently.
