** *Please forward resume to [email protected] * * * *Title: Hyperion Developer* * * *Location : Cleveland, OH* * * *Duration : 6+ Months* Top Three Skills: Hyperion, Essbase, Hyperion Planning Job Description: The Sr. Hyperion Developer role will be responsible for the implementation and support of Hyperion Planning and Essbase Applications solution for the client. Additionally, the incumbent will be required to participate on projects with responsibilities including, but not limited to, leading requirements definition workshops, developing design documentation, application of better practices within performance reporting and planning process areas, developing/configuring the Hyperion Planning solution, data migration, system testing and end-user training. Provide technical and business knowledge to ensure the Hyperion solution is configured & leveraged to SW’s best advantage. Lead the Hyperion team to deliver new process solutions based on the configuration of the Oracle/Hyperion toolset (Planning, Essbase, DRM, EPMA , BI+). Essential Functions: Strategy & Planning • Ensure that applications meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify and resolve systems issues. • Review and analyze existing applications effectiveness and efficiency, and then develop strategies for improving or leveraging these systems. • Cultivate and disseminate knowledge of application-usage best practices, standard processes and local variations due to customer, legal or business mandates. • Proactively seek opportunities for support reduction through effective training, root cause analyses and process refinement • Strives to keep knowledge and expertise current with new releases, technology advances and analyzes potential opportunities and risks in adopting upcoming versions of software. • Actively engage business management to ensure business needs are met. • Determine staffing and skills requirements. • Drive change. Acquisition & Deployment: • Evaluate, install, configure, and participate in the deployment new applications, systems software, products, and/or enhancements to existing applications throughout the enterprise. • Collaborate with analysts, designers, and system owners in the testing of new software programs and applications. • Analyze documentation and technical specifications of any new application under deployment or consideration to determine its intended functionality. • Ensure that any new software integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and interface specifications. • Participate and facilitate in the design, development, and deployment of application enhancements and upgrades. • Coordinate feasibility studies for software and system products under consideration for purchase, and give advice based on findings. • Develop, enhance and deploy user training content, procedures, troubleshooting guides • Contribute to pre-testing phase of development by evaluating proposals in order to identify potential problem areas, and make the appropriate recommendations. • Negotiate contracts with software and service providers in consultation with appropriate manager(s). • Liaise with company’s software suppliers for prompt rectification of any problems or emergencies. Operational Management • Provide solutions and suggest changes to leverage Hyperion Planning and Essbase Applications solutions for various business divisions and suggest process improvements. • Manage open issues, requests and work with business owners to prioritize and resolve in a timely manner. • Liaise with business users, analysts, and software engineers to assist with quality assurance, program logic, and data processing. • Establish service levels and report relevant metrics to measure performance & trends. • Compile and maintain inventory of company software and systems assets and their corresponding contracts/agreements. • Develop and communicate training and documentation for end users, hold clinics as necessary, and other user-related activities. • Develop, distribute, and coordinate in-depth end-user reviews for modified and new systems or applications. • Guides technical/functional team in developing reports, conversions, interfaces, extensions for Hyperion, ODI, DRM and related integration tools. • Provide leadership to ensure appropriate reviews for architecture design, code reviews, and standards are adhered to. • Conduct activities like staffing, performance and resource management, and strategic direction of the team. • Set employee objectives, monitor and evaluate performance and provide feedback and mentoring. • Create and maintain development plans for each team member, including training, skills assessment, career planning, and goal planning. • Manage personal growth objectives for the Team in conjunction with Career Development Office. Incidental Functions • Attend management meetings on behalf of team. • Mentor and teach new team members. • Assist with projects as may be required to contribute to efficiency and effectiveness of the work. • Responsible for hiring activities and fulfilling affirmative action obligations and ensuring compliance with the equal employment opportunity policy. Additional Information: Experience Required: Knowledge & Experience • 7+ years IT experience. • 3+ years of experience implementing Hyperion Planning and Performance Reporting for large multinational companies. • Full project cycle experience (design through rollout). • Good understanding of ODI and DRM. • Experience on OBIEE integration will be an advantage. • Good understanding of EPMA, Outlines, Calc Scripts and Business Rules. • Familiarity with ASO and BSO Essbase apps. • Good understanding of report development (Financial Reporting, Web Analysis, Smart View). • Understanding of Oracle eBusiness Suite is desired. • Working knowledge of network and PC operating systems. • Working knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards. • Good project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures. • Strong knowledge/understanding of finance and accounting is a plus.
