This will entail working on Hadoop and related technologies. · Work with data scientist on Big Data to create predictive and prescriptive analytic solutions. · Mentor junior engineers. Use best practices in software development · Excellent communication skills and collaborative spirit.* * *Desired Skills and Expertise* · High proficiency in software development, specifically in the Java and Python languages. (at least 3-5 years of experience) · Have excellent trouble-shooting and problem-solving skills. · Knowledge of parallel algorithms and high-througput systems. · Good knowledge on build tools preferably Maven/Ant. Experience with database and ETL highly desirable. · Broad knowledge of relational OO and database design Familiarity with web-based product development. · Excellent leadership, team handling and client interfacing skills. Strong English written, verbal, and comprehension skills required. · Exposure to Agile development methodology. · Experience with Hadoop technologies is desirable. · Knowledge of J2EE, SQL, SOAP/REST WebServices, Spring, Hibernate, JSON, MySQL, Unix/Linux.
