*Required Functional Skills:* Sound Knowledge of Storage Libraries In depth experience configuring tape-drives, media pools. Expert troubleshooting all kind of Backup & Restore related failures. Expert troubleshooting knowledge in Media, Drive and Tape library related issues. Solid Understanding NDMP, VTL, SAN Media servers, Vault and Duplication options. Hands-on experience in scheduling backup jobs/policies. In depth experience in managing critical restorations, database restorations. In depth experience in installing, configuring and managing various Backup Agents and Option. Knowledge on Disaster-Recovery procedures. Analyze and resolution of escalated problems. Audit application backup policies and environments to ensure integrity of backup and recovery activities. Actively and pre-emptively determine possible faults and causes by the execution of pre-determined health and operational checks. Manage and resolve problems identified by sys admins or monitoring software . Experience with change and problem management tools. Hardware / software fault detection and vendor liaison. Analyze and resolve escalated problems within defined SLA Investigate, identify and document proposals that will improve application recoverability and performance. Maintain, Document and implement changes to technical standards as required. Ensure that customer satisfactory levels are exceeded. Solid understanding of Linux based operating systems. RedHat preferred Provide recommendations to improve the backup/recovery infrastructure, and address/lead critical issues and root cause analysis. *Responsibilities/Expected Deliverables:* Provide technical support, guidance and direction for products supported. Manage versions 6.5 & 7.5 Netbackup 5200/5220 Backup Appliances, AIR, Ops Center Analytics Reporting and FC/SCSI tape libraries. Configure and manage large backup schedules globally.
