SCOPE:
Definitions
Functional Testing:  The test phase performed utilizing the pre-developed
test scripts. It will test isolated functions in the configured product,
associated enhancements, and interfaces and reports to demonstrate the
configured solution supports client’s business processes and system
requirements.
Day-in-the-Life Test: A test phase performed to parallel the actual
transactional activity of a specific day(s) that actually took place at
client.  Essentially equal to an “off-line” parallel test.
Test Script: A narrative description of all the preliminary conditions,
specific transaction data, required actions/processes, and expected results
associated with that test scenario.
Issue Tracking & Resolution: The process of documenting and reporting a
system issue to the vendor, tracking its proposed resolution by the vendor,
rerunning the associated test script(s) and performing regression testing
as needed until the issue resolution is confirmed through test results.

Description of Work
•       Manage and direct all testing activities with the exception of
hardware and software.
•       Working closely with the vendor, the Test Manager will organize and
utilize the project team resources to conduct comprehensive User Acceptance
Testing and “Day in the Life” testing activities.
•       Develop a full Testing Strategy Document.
•       Participate in the development of a comprehensive CIS Test Plan.
•       Provide CIS example test scripts and test script templates as
needed.
•       Provide a base set of CIS test scripts specifically developed for a
water/wastewater utility operation.
•       Determine test data requirements (origin and quantities) and test
data creation procedures.
•       Participate in User Acceptance Testing & “Day in the Life” data
conversion reconciliation and sign-off.
•       Develop a Testing Schedule.
•       Assign testing responsibilities and schedule team members and data
restoration as needed.
•       Lead a CIS Test Script Development workshop to aid and facilitate
client’s core team in the test script development process.
•       Lead and Manage the core team in the development of CIS test
scripts, managing individual assignments, the cataloguing and validation of
completed test scripts.
•       Document test procedures and version management procedures to be
followed.
•       Manage and document test results, logging any product or data
issues. All activities will be performed in accordance with the project’s
approved test plan and procedures defined for Issue Tracking and Resolution.
•       Ensure failed test scripts and proper documentation (e.g., test
results, screen shots, screen ID, etc.) are provided to the vendor in a
timely manner.
•       Determine retesting procedures, as needed, to be followed given the
nature of the failed test.
•       Manage and lead the re-testing of any functionality that failed a
test script as a result of a product or data defect.
•       Participate in test script execution as may be needed during
testing and retesting activities.
•       Manage the design and development of a comprehensive “Day in the
Life Test”.
•       Manage and Lead the execution of at least two “Day in the Life
Test(s)”, logging any and all issues associated with product or data.
•       Conduct a “Day in the Life” debriefing session with the client and
implementer team to determine and document needed actions before the next
test or go-live
•       Ensure all test results are entered into a central database
available to client and the vendor for monitoring test progress and results.
•       Provide weekly status reports to project team management and
include recommendations for future testing activities.
•       Assist the vendor and/or client team in various diagnostic
activities to research and further document reported test failures.
•       Participate in Steering Committee meetings and other executive
project related meetings as requested.
•       Participate in the “go-live” decision/planning meetings as
requested.
•       Other miscellaneous duties as assigned related to the CC&B upgrade
