Description of Contractor Duties:
Proven WebSphere WAS administration skill set to include Command
Line (GUI not used) expertise, Exceptional trouble shooting
skills, in depth hands on experience with WAS 6.x, 7.x
Strong written and oral communications skills – including the
ability to communicate well at all levels clearly, concisely,
and calmly especially during production outages
Ability to quickly assimilate into a large complex environment
Demonstrated high level of accountability, able to work
independently with minimal direction as well as in a
collaborative team situation.
Ability to quickly but methodically troubleshoot Middleware
issues in both production and non-production environments
Afterhours activity is a requirement
Firm understanding of operating system and network infrastructure
underpinning WebSphere Application server.
Strong scripting skills
Desirable:
Expertise with MQ series is a major plus
Knowledge of Disney application environments
Knowledge of HP Service Center
Prior experience with Web Methods, OAS, JBoss, Web Logic
Knowledge of ITIL best practices, ITIL certification for 2.0 or
3.0 foundations
