Position Name : PERL Developer
Location : NYC, NY
Duration : 3-6 Months
Main Responsibilities:
Participate in the complete project lifecycle (Planning, functional
specification, design, implementation, unit test, user test, maintenance),
address customer and product management requests, and provide effective
solutions. Interact with customer, project manager to identify the
requirements and propose and implement solutions for clients.
The candidate is expected to work in a structured and transparent manner,
report progress and risk and issues to the project manager and other team
member.
Required Skills:
. SQL development expert - 5+ years experience
. PERL development expert - 5+ years experience
. Experience in working in UNIX environments
. Strong understanding of financial instruments
. BSc or MSc graduate level: Computer Science or related subject
. Ability to work creatively as part of a team, taking initiative where
necessary
. Excellent communication skills, team player and effective communication
within team
. Strong desire for solving complex problems in a rigorous and detailed
manner
. Experience of working on complex multi-tier software systems
. Enthusiastic and knowledgeable about latest advances in the technology
industry
Desired Skill Set:
. Java development experience
. Interest in finance and market practices is beneficial
