*Job Description: * Independently researches and resolves complex technical problems in a Websphere environment. Position requires individual to be highly self-motivated, adaptable, and able to work to tight deadlines. They will need to be able to understand and troubleshoot web infrastructure and application issues. Under general direction, independently develops, maintains and extends a stable production, development and testing middleware infrastructure. Independently develops, modifies, and implements moderately to highly complex information systems that are thorough and accurate and conform to MST standards. Translates customer requirements, recommending system solutions and formulating detailed specifications from which components are written. Codes, tests, debugs, and documents assignments of moderate to high complexity. A top level technical contributor in one or more highly specialized phases of applications system architecture with strong general technical knowledge. May serve as primary system support for two or more complex information systems based on in-depth system knowledge. The position will be responsible for Macy'sIntranet and Internet web sites. They will also use a variety of tools to analyze the environment for the purpose of potential areas of improvement and 247 availability. Previous web administration experience supporting a large e-commerce website a plus, but not required. This position requires excellent communication, teamwork, planning and coordination skills. The candidate should have 2 years of Websphere / IT infrastructure Admin Management experience. Technical Experience required. Knowledge of Websphere Operations best practices Large Websphere Application Server Installations. Websphere Clustering Websphere installation, configuration and customization Unix / Linux Advanced Skillset Unix / Linux Shell scripting WSADMIN Scripting TCP/IP based networking protocols and troubleshooting Java Virtual Machine Configuration and Troubleshooting. Technical Experience not required, but a plus.
