BI Developer/Data Analyst Requirement in WA / Ruby with Selenium testing profiles in CA Rate-$45/hr on c2c Max Bellevue WA *BI Developer/Codebase Support position-Position -1* Job Description Responsibilities: BI tools must be modified to support the changing business needs as well as address any outstanding functionality issues from the prior year. The tools were built using EXCEL with VSTO for the UI and a SQL DB as the backend. This role will be responsible for the database (tsql, stored procedures) and reporting (SSRS, SSAS cube, MDX) components of the tool. In addition to modifying the tool (SQL and reporting changes), you will be responsible for assisting with support during the tool usage 1. Partner with program manager to identify requirements, identify and evaluate alternatives, and implement solutions. 2. Actively participates as a team member on project team. 3. Modify existing DB schemas, stored procedures, etc. as required to support business needs. 4. Design and develop reporting tools using SSRS and building cubes 5. Contribute to development methodologies and best practices. 6. Cross group collaborative work with other Finance groups. 7. Support Testing efforts (integration testing and UAT) 8. Work with PM to provide end user support during the tool usage period 9. Author required technical and support documentation 10.Existing Tool Modification and Support Requirements * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with +5 years' experience of software development, or equivalent combination. * STRONG SSAS 2012 (or 2008), MDX programming, transact SQL (stored procedures, triggers, views). * Background in database and cube design is required. * Data modeling and Data Transformation and Loading (ETL). * Data Warehouse schema design experience required. * Experience with Business Intelligence applications. * Strong background in performance analysis skills on OLAP applications including design and tuning of cubes. * Identifying and implementing best practices. * Whole problem solver, implements solutions to solve root cause problems. Strong analytically. * Potential need exists to work overtime, including some weekend and hours outside the normal work day. * Exhibits an ability to take proactive and strategic approaches to projects. * Ability to focus on assigned tasks, keep work prioritized to meet deadlines. * Ability to work professionally and effectively within the team and across departments. * FLEXIBILITY - we have short dev cycles and turn projects out fast. *Data Analyst/Job Description-2 Position* * Analyze very large data sets spanning advertisers & publishers traffic to interpret patterns and distributions for such attributes as clicks, impress ions, page views, and revenue. * Provide strong analysis so you can document findings, conclusions, and effectively make systems recommendations to identify and mitigate abuse within our advertising platform. * Understand algorithms, tools, and techniques to efficiently investigate or shape invalid advertising traffic within search, mobile, and display advertising markets. * Use statistical techniques to design models/framework that detect fraud and other traffic pattern risks and iteratively test, refine, and improve these models or framework. * Serve as an escalation point for all traffic quality issues, from other support & services teams, Traffic Quality Engineers, and other team's Analysts to gather issue information, assess business impact and resolve issues escalating to product groups as needed for fixing or improving the product. * Create traffic investigation post mortem and resolution documentation for issues with large impacts within the advertising platform. Composing timely worldwide correspondence, presentations or other materials to partners or customers as appropriate. * Collaborate with relevant team members, developers, and Program Managers to ensure rules or algorithms are in alignment with business needs. * Assist in creating processes or policy documentation in alignment with the business needs. * Partner closely with Quality and development teams to identify bugs in the tool set and providing supporting analysis/ impact information to product groups. * Participate in conferences/forums and industry events . * Obtain, parse and evaluate large data sets in order to segment fraudulent from non -fraudulent payment events, and further employ strong data analysis skills to devise new risk rules for real time and post real time decision making . * Collaborate closely with the Data Science and Operations Online Forensics teams to drive strategies involving both real time and post real time risk decision making, manual review strategy, and collaborative efforts with the various business groups. * Influence team members with varying points of view in order to derive strong solutions to complex problems requiring expertise from multiple stakeholders. REQUIRED SKILLS * Bachelors in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field with a strong analytical emphasis required. * Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Mining, Statistics, Finance, or Machine Learning desired. * Minimum of 1-3 years of related work experience required. * Strong written and verbal communication skills in order to convey information to colleagues, business groups, and members of their immediate team regarding current KPIs, trends, and reporting from advertising logs. * 1-2 years working in web analytics, * security, computer forensics, or algo trading preferably with organic or paid search technologies, web analytics tools or development, ecommerce, publishing network, and/or automated algo trading. * Demonstrates high energy/creativity and a passion for analyzing highly complex data sets. * Project management skills and strong debugging skills * An entrepreneurial spirit and relentless customer focus * Practical understanding of quantitative methods, and superb attention to detail. * Black/White Hat experience with a strong emphasis in malvertising. * Extensive knowledge and experience in at least two of the following areas: data mining, web mining, machine learning, statistics, business intelligence/customer intelligence, user modeling, information retrieval, databases, data warehousing, OLAP, data processing (ETL), emetrics/measurement, parallel and distributed computation (two or more areas are preferred). * Strong theory/algorithm background and very good understanding on how to apply advanced knowledge to solve real problems. * Ability to be flexible taking immediate ownership of unanticipated fraud/traffic quality scenarios, and responding to ad hoc investigation requests. * Communicate efficiently data mining results to a broad technical and non technical audience. * Functional understanding of different types of malware, adware, viruses, replication methods, indicators, obfuscation and potential effects. *Ruby with Selenium testing profiles.-3 Position * Location : *San Jose-USA* *Rate :Open (But keep it low)* JD: *Ruby with Selenium testing profiles.* JD: - We are adopting Ruby with Selenium for our end-to-end black-box testing framework for the Net Space solution (spanning multiple software/SaaS). - Looking to source qualified person to be onsite in San Jose, starting literally now or ASAP (like Nov 17, 2014). - Ability to hit the ground running, albeit being a cliché, is exactly what we need.
