Title : Application Support Specialist Location : NYC Duration : Contract to hire Need only US Citizens and Green Card holders please !!!!!!!!!!! Job Responsibilities: 1. Identify, analyze and resolve technical issues, from external clients and internal associates, involving a proprietary application. 2. Routinely interact with Unix/Linux and database administrators, QA and development associates to assist in problem resolution. 3. Documenting issues and working with other functional groups to develop updated processes and workarounds. 4. Mentor and coach junior members of the team. 5. 'On Call' availability to provide assistance for off-hours emergency issues. Requirements: 1. Experience working with IT groups or proprietary application software support environments (particularly in the legal marketplace) in a fast paced, dynamic environment. 2. B.A./B.S. in Computer Science or Information Systems is preferred. 3. 5+ years work experience in application support. 4. Strong client focus, troubleshooting skills and a commitment to continuous improvement. 5. Position requires strong oral and written communication skills. 6. Proactive, responsible, and willing to go above and beyond to achieve client satisfaction. 7. Oracle Experience a plus. 8. Some experience troubleshooting issues in a Windows/Citrix environment. Familiarity with Windows/Citrix administration and Active Directory will be a plus. 9. Understanding of UNIX and or Linux basic command lines and light scripting skills helpful.\ 10.
